Kelly Larson, LMFT-Associate
Kelly is a compassionate and trauma-informed therapist dedicated to supporting individuals, children, families, and couples on their healing and personal growth journey. With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of Utah and a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University, Kelly integrates evidence-based practices with a warm, empathetic approach to therapy.
Specializing in the treatment of depression, anxiety, grief, and trauma, Kelly works with a variety of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and couples. She is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), allowing her to offer specialized support to clients recovering from trauma, including victims of crime and abuse, as well as Gottman trained, allowing her to offer more specialized treatment for couples.
For her youngest clients, Kelly incorporates Play Therapy, a developmentally appropriate approach that helps children explore and express emotions through their natural language of play. This approach supports emotional growth and resilience in a safe and comfortable environment.
Kelly practices from a systemic perspective, recognizing the importance of understanding how family, relationships, and larger systems influence a person’s experiences, behaviors, and well-being. She views therapy as a collaborative process and works closely with clients to help them achieve their goals and navigate life’s challenges. Kelly is supervised by Dr. Rachel Falbo, LPC-S, LMFT-S. Kelly serves those in Flower Mound and Southlake, as well as the surrounding areas; Lantana, Argyle, Highland Village, Grapevine, Keller, and Denton. Kelly sees people virtually across the state of Texas, including; Dallas, Fort Worth, Austin, and Houston areas.
